Glisten is a younger sister to our program’s foundation horse, Gucci. After Gucci suddenly passed in March 2013 leaving many devastated and broken hearted program participants behind, we were blessed with the unexpected and generous donation of this sweet mare. She has a huge job to do trying to fill in the empty shoes that Gucci left behind, but she sure has a wonderful, loving personality. Having her has helped making the process of healing from losing Gucci a little easier for some of our program participants. Along with Glisten came a wonderful little surprise, her beautiful filly, Gucci’s Grace (GiGi).
Glisten’s quiet personality and natural ability to read her riders prove invaluable when developing individualized therapeutic routines. Her range of abilities enables her to help a spectrum of riders whether they need a horse to help establish confidence, build muscle tone, or develop focus.
